Agatha is a Communication Expert at North-East Romania’s Regional Development Agency, since September 2015.

Currently working at the RIS3 Management Office of the Communication, Innovation and Cooperation Directorate, she is mainly in charge with the relationship with the universities and other knowledge centers from the region, within the framework of Regional Smart Specialization. She is also a communication officer within the INTERREG EUROPE project Clusterix 2.0 – New Models of Innovation for Strategic Cluster Partnerships.

Previously, she worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI Lugano, Switzerland, 2006 – 2013) on topics related to argumentation, interpersonal and intercultural communication in various activity fields, and as a PR Counsellor, then, Head of the PR Office at the Municipality of Piatra Neamt (Romania, 1998 – 2004). As public servant, she was in charge with the communication and international relations of the City of Piatra Neamt, including the assistance to various European projects conducted by the Municipality. She attended internships in Communication at Comune di Lugano (Switzerland, 2006 – 2008) and Ville de Roanne (France, December 1998).

She graduated in Psychology from the University of Bucharest (Romania, 1992 -1997) and earned an MSc in Communication and Economics from Università della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano, Switzerland, 2004-2006), where she has also conducted her research on argumentation and persuasion in corporate communication, as a PhD Student (since 2006). Results have been published in international publications and presented in national (Swiss) and international conferences.
