Matthijs de Jonge teaches software development at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, specializing in software design and data solutions development. In addition to teaching classes, he coaches and mentors the development team at Buro 302. Buro 302 is a student-run company where students of the IT and Media department of HAN University practice their skills on real-life projects for real-life clients. As a coach and a mentor to the students working here Matthijs de Jonge, together with his colleagues Job Vogel and Floor van Loon is constantly striving to develop new methods and techniques for guiding and teaching in this challenging setting. Sometimes he fails. At other times he succeeds. But at all times he is impressed and amazed at all the creative techniques, methods and solutions his students come up with to solve the problems they encounter during their learning process.
