Sunčica Oberman Peterka is an associate professor at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek where she teaches Entrepreneurship, New Venture Creation, Strategic Management and Leadership courses at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. She has been working at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek since 2000. She defended her PhD thesis (with the title: Entrepreneurial universities in a function of effective dissemination of intellectual property of university) in 2008.  Before joining J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, Sunčica worked for 3 years at the Center for Entrepreneurship in Osijek as a trainer and consultant for small and medium enterprises and ran the Grow Your Business program – educational and consultancy program for growing enterprises. Since October 2013 she holds the position of Vice-Dean, responsible for students and teaching. Sunčica is part of GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) research team for Croatia, since 2002. Her area of interests are: entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial university, authentic leadership, new venture creation, small business management, and strategic management.

She has two kids – Sara (14) and Marko (9). She likes to read and to travel.
